White List Setup
There are two examples given to setup an effective content filtering system. The basic two rule filter and the slightly more complex 5 rule filter. The second more complex filter allows you to set up white lists for global (domain) management and also for local user management. The example below assumes you will be setting up the more simple two rule content filter and you will be doing it on your own email account, not the adminstrator's account.
Using your browser browse to http://pobox.lhhosting.com, the home page for the web based mail interface. The login is your full email address (myaddress@mydomain.com) or for the administrator it's the webmaster address (webmaster@mydomain.com).

From the Settings menue choose the "My Content Filtering" menu option. If you are the domain administrator you will have other menu options on the page. If you are setting a domain filter for your white list then you should select "Domain Content Filtering" from the "Domain Settings" menu options rather than the settings menu option.

After selecting the content filtering option the following dialog will appear. At this point you will press the "Add Filter" menu option to proceed.
After selecting the Add Filter option the following dialog will appear.
This dialog box will present you with options you will see each time you set up a new content filter. In this case our content filter will be very simple. We wish to instruct our filter to look at the email and compare the email with the trusted senders list. If it matches anyone's email address or domain on the trusted senders list then we will peform a special action. Check the box "From trusted senders" then press the "Next" option at the top of the dialog box.
There is nothing you need to define on this dialog box because you have already told the filter to accept mail from the Trusted Senders". Just press the "Next" menu item and proceed to the final dialog box.

All you need to do now is to tell the rule where to send the mail you want white listed and assign a name to the rule. First enter a "Rule Name" which we entered as "White List". You can call it whatever you like, it's simply a label to identify the rule and so you know what the rule does. Next check the box "Move mesage to folder" and select "Inbox" as the folder.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR DOMAIN RULES: The drop down list box with the folder will not have any entries in it. You must manually enter "Inbox" to direct the rule to move the trusted senders into the users inbox. Syntax is important so enter "Inbox" with a capital "I".

When you are don on this screen press "Save"

As seen above once you have saved your rule you will return to the content filtering rule list and you will see one single rule named "White List". You will see the same thing if you set it up as a domain rule or as a user rule, or as we suggest both. The listing has a few options. One is to delete the rule if you wish to delete it and start over again, and the other options are up and down arrows which allow you to change the order of the rule. Always make sure that the white list rule is the top most rule.
